American 1 Continued Education Scholarship

The American 1 Continued Education Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors from five Michigan counties who plan to continue their education through college, certificate programs, or trade school. Credit union membership is not required to apply, although recipients must become American 1 members.

Eligibility

  • Be a graduating high school senior for the applicable scholarship year.
  • Reside in Jackson, Hillsdale, Calhoun, Lenawee, or Washtenaw County, Michigan.
  • Plan to attend college, complete a certificate program, or attend trade school during 2026.
  • American 1 Credit Union membership is not required when applying.
  • Become an American 1 Credit Union member if selected as a scholarship recipient.
  • Employees, board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

  • Complete the American 1 Continued Education Scholarship application.
  • Submit only one application per student.
  • Provide the information required by the annual scholarship application.
  • Become an American 1 Credit Union member if selected.

How to Apply

  2. 2Confirm plans to attend college, a certificate program, or trade school during the scholarship year.
  3. 3Complete the online Continued Education Scholarship form.
  4. 4Submit only one application.
  5. 5Submit the application during the published application window.
  6. 6If selected, establish American 1 Credit Union membership and maintain the account in good standing through the scholarship promotion period.
