The Alpha One Powering Education Scholarship supports Maine students with documented disabilities who are pursuing postsecondary education. The program is open to eligible undergraduate and graduate students and recognizes students whose experiences with disability have shaped their goals and perspectives.

Eligibility

  • Have a documented disability, including visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, speech, or another qualifying disability.
  • Be a current student or past graduate of a high school in Maine.
  • Have approximately a B average or equivalent GPA.
  • Have been accepted to a postsecondary educational institution.
  • May be pursuing undergraduate or graduate education.

Requirements

  • Complete the scholarship application form.
  • Submit a 500- to 1,000-word personal essay.
  • Provide a letter of recommendation.
  • Submit high school transcripts.
  • Provide documentation showing acceptance to a postsecondary institution.

How to Apply
