The Alabama Board of Nursing Graduate Nursing Scholarship provides financial assistance to licensed Alabama registered nurses pursuing master's, doctoral, or other eligible graduate nursing degrees at accredited Alabama institutions. Recipients must complete a post-graduation nursing service commitment in Alabama.

Eligibility
- Be an Alabama resident for at least one year before submitting the application.
- Hold an active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license.
- Be admitted to or enrolled in an accredited graduate nursing program located in Alabama.
- Be pursuing a master's degree, doctorate, or another eligible graduate nursing degree.
- Have at least two consecutive semesters remaining in the graduate nursing program.
- Enroll in at least six academic hours during each of two consecutive semesters in the scholarship funding year.
- Agree to practice as a professional nurse or nursing instructor in Alabama for two years after completing the graduate degree.
- Meet all additional requirements established by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Requirements
- Complete the electronic Graduate Nursing Scholarship application.
- Submit two acceptable proofs showing Alabama residency for at least one year.
- Provide proof of an active, unencumbered Alabama RN license.
- Submit an enrollment verification form or graduate-program letter of admission.
- Sign the required scholarship agreement and promissory note if selected.
- Complete at least six credit hours during each of two consecutive semesters.
- Provide employment verification after graduation until the two-year Alabama service obligation is completed.

- 4Upload proof of your Alabama RN license and graduate-program admission or enrollment.
- 5Submit the complete application by the closing date shown on the current application.
- 6If awarded, sign the promissory note and complete the required enrollment and post-graduation employment obligations.
