Alaska Village Electric Cooperative Educational Scholarships

Eligibility

• Be an active AVEC member or primarily live in a household whose head is an active AVEC member.
• Enroll full-time or part-time in college, technical/vocational school or trade school; have a high-school diploma or GED by the July award date.
• Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA on your high-school or most recent higher-education transcript.
• Use the award within six months of selection and provide your student ID for payment to the school.

Requirements

• Submit the signed application, personal narrative, transcript and at least one recommendation from a nonrelative.
• Address personal history, activities, career goals and how the career benefits your community.
• Confirm the current cycle with AVEC; its public form gives May 15 without a year.
