Eligibility

  • Be a graduating senior at a Maine high school or be homeschooled in a Maine community during the final year of secondary education.
  • Plan to major in journalism or a reasonably related field, including print, broadcast, or electronic media.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement.
  • Applicants pursuing marketing, public relations, or advertising are not eligible.
  • Preference is given to female applicants.
