Eligibility

  • Be a current high school senior or undergraduate student.
  • Be age 17–25 during the AFA Leaders Conference.
  • Attend a four-year institution in the United States or plan to obtain a four-year degree.
  • Have a passion for food, agriculture, and/or natural resources.
  • Intend to pursue a career in the food, agriculture, and/or natural resources industries.
  • A GPA of 2.5 or higher is recommended.

Requirements

  • Complete the AFA scholarship application.
  • Provide current academic and school information.
  • Provide work and internship experience.
  • Document organizational involvement.
  • Document community service.
  • Describe career goals.
  • Provide financial-need information.
  • Complete applicable scholarship essays and supplemental requirements.
  • Recipients must attend the full AFA Leaders Conference during the year awarded.

How to Apply

  3. 3Enter work, internship, organizational, and community-service experience thoroughly.
  4. 4Complete required essays and scholarship-specific questions.
