ACEC/Michigan Scholarship Program

Eligibility

• Have completed the freshman year of college.
• Be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering or surveying program.
• Have lived, worked, or attended school in Michigan.
• Have worked for a consulting engineering, surveying, or architectural/engineering firm within the previous 24 months.
• Be pursuing a career in engineering or surveying.

Requirements

• Complete the ACEC/Michigan scholarship application.
• Provide information about relevant work experience.
• Provide information about extracurricular and community activities.
• Provide academic information, including grade point average.
• Submit required references.
• Complete the required written essay.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that you have completed your freshman year of college.
2. 2Verify that your engineering or surveying program is ABET-accredited.
3. 3Confirm that you meet the Michigan connection requirement through residence, work, or school attendance.
4. 4Confirm qualifying employment with a consulting engineering, surveying, or architectural/engineering firm during the previous 24 months.
5. 5Complete the ACEC/Michigan scholarship application when the annual cycle opens.
6. 6Provide details about your consulting-industry work experience.
7. 7Provide extracurricular, community-service, and academic information.
8. 8Arrange for the required references.
9. 9Complete the required scholarship essay.
10. 10Submit the complete application before the published deadline.
11. 11Selected recipients receive their awards during the annual ACEC/Michigan Engineering & Surveying Excellence Awards Gala.
