ACEC/MA Education Corporation Need-Based Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Be pursuing a declared engineering or land surveying degree through an eligible ABET-accredited program.
• Be entering junior, senior, or master's-level study under the published scholarship criteria.
• Have an intended or declared major in engineering or land surveying.
• Be a Massachusetts resident or attend a Massachusetts college or university.

Requirements

• Complete the ACEC Research Institute Scholarship Portal general application.
• Complete all required scholarship essays.
• Complete the additional 500-word ACEC/MA Need-Based Scholarship financial-impact essay.
• Upload a current college or university transcript.
• Request an ACEC Research Institute Scholarship Recommendation Form through the online portal.
• Obtain a recommendation from a consulting engineer, land surveyor, or engineering professor.
• Provide the financial information required to demonstrate need.

How to Apply

3. 3Allow the portal to determine your eligibility for the ACEC/MA Need-Based Scholarship.
4. 4Complete the required scholarship essays.
5. 5Write the additional 500-word essay explaining how you finance your education and how receiving ACEC/MA assistance would affect you.
6. 6Upload your current college transcript.
7. 7Complete required financial-need information.
8. 8Request the required online recommendation through the scholarship portal.
9. 9Confirm that your recommender submits the recommendation before the deadline.
10. 10Submit all application materials by the announced ACEC/MA deadline.
