Access Energy Cooperative Electric Lineworker Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a 2026 high school graduate.
• Reside in southeast Iowa within the general Access Energy Cooperative service area.
• Applicants are not required to be Access Energy Cooperative members.
• Preference may be given to an applicant who is an Access Energy Cooperative member or dependent of a member.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a qualifying one- or two-year electric lineworker program.
• Applicants may qualify for only one scholarship from Access Energy Cooperative.

Requirements

• Complete both sides of the Access Energy Cooperative Electric Lineworker Scholarship application.
• Submit a high school transcript.
• Provide academic information.
• Provide information about school, work, and community involvement.
• Submit the required personal essay.
• Participate in an interview at the Access Energy Cooperative office.
• Provide enrollment verification when requesting scholarship payments.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that the applicant resides in southeast Iowa within Access Energy Cooperative's general service area.
2. 2Identify and apply to a qualifying one- or two-year electric lineworker program.
3. 3Complete both sides of the annual lineworker scholarship application.
4. 4Prepare the required personal essay.
5. 5Attach the applicant's high school transcript.
6. 6Submit the complete application by the published deadline.
7. 7Participate in the required interview at the cooperative office.
8. 8If selected, submit required enrollment verification to request each scholarship payment.
